Answer is 436
In given series
766, 656, 546,...
First digit of number is decresed by 1,
So First digit of next number should be 4
7_ _ ,6 _ _, 5 _ _, 4 _ _
Second digit of number is decresed by 1,
So Second digit of next number should be 3
7 6 _ ,6 5 _, 5 4 _, 4 3 _
Third digit remained same
766, 656, 546, 436
So Answer is 436

Answer is : 1001
\(\frac{25.025 }{0.025} = \frac{25 +0.025 }{0.025} \)
\(= \frac{25}{0.025} + \frac{0.025}{0.025} \)
\(=\frac{25000}{25} + 1\)
=1000+1
=1001

Answer is : 0.09
\(\sqrt{0.0081} = \sqrt{81 \over 10000} \)
\(=\sqrt{9^2 \over 100^2} \)
\(=\frac{9}{100} \)
\(=0.09\)
If 12 men or 18 women can do a work in 14 days, then in how many days will 8 men and 16 women do the same work?
Nithin K ? Wed Sep 28 2016 12:30:00 GMT+0530 (IST)
Let the required number of days be x.
12 men = 18 women
8 men = \(\frac{18}{12} \times 8\) Women = \(\frac{144}{12} => 12\) Women.
(8 men and 16 women) = (12 +16)=>28 Women
Now, More women, Less days (Indirect Proportion)\(28:18 ::14:x\)
\(28 \times x = 18 \times 14\)
\(28 \times x = 252\)
x = \(\frac{252}{28}\)
x=9
A two digit number is five times the sum of its digits. If 9 is added to the number, the digits interchange. Find the sum of the digits.
quiaz ? Dec 20 '2018 at 14:16
Let a and b the digits we can write the number as "ab" but the number is \(10 \times a+b\)
(for example if a=3 and b=2 the number would be 32 and \(32 =10 \times 3+2\))a two digit number is 5 times the sum of its digit then \(10 \times a+b=5(a+b)\)
when 9 is added to the number the result is the original number with its reversed \(10 \times a+b+9=10 \times b+a \)
then we have the following equations:
\(10 \times a+b=5(a+b)\)
\(10 \times a+b+9=10 \times b+a \)
then
\(10a+b=5a+5b\)
\(10a+b+9=10b+a \)
then
\(5a-4b=0\)
\(9a-9b=-9 \)
then
\(5a-4b=0\)
\(a-b=-1\)
then using 2nd eq a=b-1
using 1st eq \(5(b-1)-4b=0 \)
then \(5b-5-4b=0\)
then b=5 and a=5-1=4
the sum of digits is 9.
A sold a watch to B at the gain of 20% and B sold it to C at a loss of 10%. If C bought the watch for Rs.216, at what price had A bought the watch?
Nithin K ? Sun Sep 25 2016 12:30:00 GMT+0530 (IST)
Consider A purchased watch for Rs.x
Then, \(x \times \frac{120}{100}\times\frac{90}{100} =216\)
108x =21600
x = 200
\(\therefore\) A bought the watch for 200 Rs
The area of a circle is 1386 m^2. Find its circumference.
Nithin K ? Sun Sep 25 2016 12:30:00 GMT+0530 (IST)
Given area of circular field is 1386 m2
But area of circle = πr2
∴ πr2 = 1386
r2 = \(1386 \times 7 \over 22 \)r2= 441 m
r = \(\sqrt{441} \)m
∴ r = 21 m
Circumference of the field = 2πr = 2 x \(22 \over 7\)x 21 = 132m.
