If a man travels 160 km by car at the speed of 64 km/h and another 160 km at the speed of 80 km/h, the average speed for the whole journey is
A71.11
B81.11
C91.11
D61.11

Answer : 71.11

Explanation:

Formula:

\(Time = \frac{Distance}{speed} \)

\(\text{total time taken = (times taken for first 160km + times taken for next 160km)}\)
\(\text{total time taken }= \big(\frac{160}{64} + \frac{160}{80}\big)\)

\(=\frac{9}{2}\text{ hours }\)
\(\text{Time taken for 320 Km = 320 }\times \text{29=71.11km/hr}\)
