A number of two digits is 6 times the sum of its digits.

A number of two digits is 6 times the sum of its digits. When the sum of its digits is added to the number, the result is 63. What is the number?
A32
B42
C53
D54

Answer is : 54
Let the number be 10y+x.
As given, 10y+x=6(x+y)
10y+x-6x-6y=0
4y-5x=0 ........(i)

Again,
10y+x+x+y=63
=>11y+2x=63 .......(ii)

Solving (i) and (ii),
x=4 and y=5
Number = 54
