Let the initial seats for Maths, Physics and Biology be 5x. 7x and 8x respectively.

Now. new seats for Maths = \(\Large \frac{5x \times 140}{100}\)

For Physics = \(\Large \frac{7x \times 150}{100}\)

and for Biology = \(\Large \frac{8x \times 175}{100}\)

Therefore, Required ratio

\(\Large \frac{5x \times 140}{100} : \Large \frac{7x \times 150}{100}: \Large \frac{8x \times 175}{100}\)

\(\Large 5 \times 140:\Large 7 \times 150: \Large 8 \times 175\)

\(= 2 : 3 : 4\)
