Answer is : 1Km
Let the length and breadth of the rectangular field be a and b km. respectively.
Then, 2(a+b)=6
\(a+b=3 ----------(i)\)
and
\(ab=2 -----------(ii) \)
Now,
\((a-b)^2=(a+b)^2-4ab \)\((a-b)^2= 3^2- 4 *2\)
\((a-b)^2=9-8\)
\((a-b)^2=1\)\((a-b) =1\)
