Answer is : 18 seconds
Total Distance = Train length + bridge distance
                      = 120 metre + 80 metre
                      = 200 metre.

Speed Of Train = 40 km/h
                       \(=\frac{(40*1000)}{(60 *60)} m/s\)

Time To Cross a bridge = \((distance)\over(time)\)

                                     =\(\frac{\frac{200}{ (40*1000)}}{(60 *60)}\)

                                    \(=\frac{(200 * 60 * 60)}{(40 * 1000)}\)
                                     = 18s

Let he invests x in 4% stock and y in 5% stock 
On 97 he earns Rs.4.
On x he earns \(4x \over 97 \)
Similarly on y he will earns \(5y \over 107 \)
\(4x \over 97\) = \(5y \over 107 \)
x = \(485y \over 428 \)
x + y = 913 
Substituting the value of x we get y = 428 
First installment = 485

Let the written price = Rs.100
commission = Rs.20
selling price = 100-20 = Rs.80

gain = 60%
cost price =\(80 \times 100 \over 160\) =  Rs.50

if the commission is increased to 25%,
selling price = 100-25 = Rs.75

new gain =\((75−50)\over 50\)=\(25 \over 50\)=0.5

The average temperature of Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday = \(41^0 C\)
the sum of their days = 41 x 3 = \(123 ^0C\)

The temperature of Thursday = \(42^0C\)
Therefore, the temperature Tuesday and Wednesday = 123 – 42 = 81

the temperature of Monday = 120 – 81 = \(39^oC\)
